重庆师范大学马克思主义学院办学历史悠久，底蕴深厚，经过多年的建设和发展，已成为西部一流、国内有重要影响的马克思主义理论教学、研究、宣传和人才培养的坚强阵地，先后获批重庆市重点马克思主义学院、重庆市委宣传部支持高质量建设单位等多项称号。

学院设有马克思主义理论一级学科博士后工作站，有马克思主义理论一级学科硕士点，哲学一级学科硕士点和学科教学思政硕士点，拥有8个省部级科研平台、3个省部级优秀教学团队、1个省部级哲学社会科学创新团队，4个省部级思政名师工作室。马克思主义理论是重庆市“十二五”“十三五”“十四五”重点学科，思想政治教育（师范类）本科专业是国家级一流本科专业，通过了教育部师范专业二级认证，在重庆市高校专业竞争力评估中排名全市第一。《新文科建设中习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想“三进”创新研究》获批教育部首批新文科研究与改革实践项目。

学院现有教职工89人，其中教授15人，副教授32人，博士60人。有博士生导师和硕士生导师81人，2人入选4项国家级人才计划，有全国优秀教师1人，全国高校思想政治理论课教学标兵1人，教育部高校教学指导委员会委员2人，全国高校思想政治理论课教学展示特等奖、一等奖、二等奖各1项。近年获批国家社科基金项目22项（重点项目3项）、省部级项目107项（重大项目13项），发表CSSCI高水平学术论文200余篇，获教育部人文社科优秀成果二等奖2项、三等奖3项，重庆市社会科学优秀成果奖一等奖3项、二等奖5项、三等奖5项。

“面向国家需要的大学生思想政治教育工作测评体系构建与实践”荣获国家教学成果二等奖，“‘三维五步五课堂’实践教学改革与创新”入选2017年教育部思想政治理论课建设优秀工作案例和2019年教育部思政课教学方法改革项目择优推广计划，“红岩精神融入大中小学日常思想政治教育一体化的理论与实践探索”入选2025年度教育部思想政治工作质量提升综合改革与精品建设项目。

学院累计培养硕士生、本科生3500余人，获全国先进班集体1个。毕业生中有国家“万人计划”青年拔尖人才、全国优秀教师、“全国五一劳动奖章”获得者等。

Boasting a long history and profound academic heritage, the School of Marxism at Chongqing Normal University has established itself as a leading institution inWestern China and a nationally influential center for the teaching, research, and dissemination of Marxist theories, as well as talent cultivation. The School has been successively honored with titles such as the “Chongqing Key School of Marxism” and the “High-Quality Development Unit Supported by the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee.”

The School of Marxismruns aPostdoctoralStation of the First-level Discipline of Marxist Theory. It offers master’s programsof two first-level disciplines—Marxist Theory and Philosophy—as well as a professional master’s program in SubjectTeaching (Ideological and Political Education). The Schoolhosts eightprovincial and ministerial-levelresearch platformsandfourProvincial and Ministerial Studios for Famous Ideological and Political Teachers.It also leads three top-tier teaching teams andone innovation team in philosophy and social sciences, both of whichat the provincial and ministerial level.Marxist Theory has been designated a key discipline in Chongqing throughout the 12th, 13th, and 14th Five-Year Plan periods. The undergraduate program in Ideological and Political Education (Teacher-Training) is a National First-Class Undergraduate Major Development Program. It has been granted Level II accreditation by the Ministry of Education and ranks first among all universities in Chongqing inthe municipal professional competitiveness evaluation. The School’s project, “Innovative Research on the ‘ThreeIntegrations’ of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era within the New Liberal Arts Framework,” was selected as part of the Ministry of Education’s inaugural cohort of New Liberal Arts Research and Reform Practice Programs.

The School currently has 89 faculty and staff members, including 15 professors and 32 associate professors, among whom 60 hold doctoral degrees. A total of 81membersserve as doctoral or master’s supervisors. Two faculty members have been selectedinto four nationalhigh-endtalentsupportprograms. The faculty includes one National Outstanding Teacher, one NationalModel Teacher of Ideological and Political Theory Courses, and two members of the Teaching Steering Committees for Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. Faculty members have also won one SpecialAward, one FirstAward, and one SecondAward in the National TeachingCompetition of College Ideological and Political Theory Courses. In recent years, the School hasundertaken 22 National Social Science Fund projects (including 3 key projects) and 107 provincial and ministerialresearchprojects (including 13 major projects). Faculty members have published over 200 CSSCI-indexed papers. The School has received two second prizes and three third prizes in the Ministry of Education Higher Education Outstanding Achievement Awards in Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as three first prizes, five second prizes, and five third prizes in the Chongqing Outstanding Social Science Achievement Awards.

The School’s project “Building a National Priority–Responsive Evaluation System for Student Ideological and Political Education” received the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award (Ministry of Education). Its pedagogical reform initiative “Three-Dimensional, Five-Step, Five-Classroom Model” was recognized as a National Exemplary Case for Curriculum Development in 2017 and selected for the Ministry of Education’s National Dissemination Program for Innovative Teaching Methods in 2019. In 2025, the project “Integrating the Hongyan Spirit into a Coherent Ideological and Political Education Frameworkfor Primary, Secondary, and Tertiaryschools” was named a National Demonstration Project for Enhancing Ideological and Political Education Quality.

To date, the School has graduated more than 3,500 undergraduate and master’s students. One class was honored as a NationalOutstanding Class Collective. Its alumni include YoungTop-notch Talentsunder the National “Ten Thousand Talents Program,” National Outstanding Teachers, and recipients of the National May Day Labor Medal.
